Most hunting apps draw the map. We built the model.
Finding game is, underneath everything, a prediction problem: given the terrain, the vegetation, the water, the season, and the way a species actually uses country — where are the odds highest? Hunters have always answered it by hand, over years of glassing, blown stalks, and hard-won pattern recognition. We set out to answer it with data.
Gydepoint is a wildlife-and-terrain intelligence engine. Under the hood it fuses dozens of authoritative terrain, habitat, hydrology, climate, and wildlife-movement datasets through a proprietary, per-species modeling stack — and scores real ground for where each of 29 game species is most likely to be. Most apps stop at a nicer basemap and a place to drop pins. We treat the land itself as data and let the model read it.
That rigor is the whole point. Anyone can lay pins over satellite imagery. Building proprietary models on real animal movement, validating them against how animals actually use country, and turning the result into a spot-quality heatmap you can route to — that's a different kind of tool. We built it California-first, because a model is only as honest as the data behind it, then extended coverage nationwide across all 50 states, and we keep deepening the species models region by region.
